Carlene White, DQM

Carlene White, BSN, RN, CHCQM, CPHQ, is the director of quality management, infection control preventionist and safety officer. In this role since 2020, she oversees coordination of medical quality management and performance improvement activities that enhance the quality, process and cost effectiveness of patient care. Carlene also manages the hospital’s infection control and employee health programs.

Previously, Carlene worked as a quality manager and director at several level one trauma centers, including University Medical Center of New Orleans, Atlanta Medical Center and TriLakes Medical Center in Mississippi. She also served in an advisory role with Vizient, Inc., assisting 26 member hospitals in reducing hospital acquired conditions in patients.

Carlene holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Grand Canyon University and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in theology from Beacon University Christian Life School of Theology.

Carlene is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and serves on the Advisory Board for Hospitals for Humanity. She is a fellow diplomate with the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians, Georgia Association of American College of Healthcare Executives, National Association of Healthcare Quality and American College of Healthcare Executives. Carlene also holds the following certifications: Health Care Quality Management, Professional in Healthcare Quality and Risk and Patient Safety.
